Role model. RT @Paul2eD: This bird keeps itself in the air by sheer force of anger alone.

I’ve tried a Google image search - this bird is a popular internet meme. But no identity! So I have resorted to my usual hivemind plundering tactics. Will report back in due course.

Agreement has been reached by two independent persons that the bird is a shrike! Normally it flies in a traditional style with wings outstretched, but I did locate a photo of it ‘bullet-form’ as above, with wings folded in and that look of intense concentration on its face.

It has now been confirmed that it is most likely a Great Grey Shrike (Lanius excubitor). I love the hive-mind approach to problem solving - you chuck the problem out there, and someone else comes up with the answer, having the requisite expertise to cut to the chase!

Oh, lovely to have an ID! It is a very angry looking shrike, that’s for sure!

Artists from the group Innomind have animated classic paintings to make the subjects of those paintings blow raspberries on each other. The video animates paintings like The Reluctant Bride, The Fisherman and the Syren, and Dante and Virgil in Hell with fart sounds set to “Winter” from Antonio Vivaldi‘s The Four Seasons.

My friend did this once to her boyfriend. I think she hid his game controller though.

Ha ha ha ha. I’m so glad I don’t have to resort to that sort of thing. Reminds me of the ep of Big Bang Theory where Sheldon starts trying to train people with chocolate…
